The Montessori Training that has been in use for over a century was developed by Maria Montessori, an Italian teaching philosophy specialist. Maria Montessori, born in 1870 in Ancora, Italy, became a medical doctor in 1896. Motessori, who is known to be the first female individual to obtain this title in Italy, then shifted to the field of pediatrics and devoted herself to the education of children. Dr. Montessori, who performed work on the children with mental disabilities, asserted that the treatment of children lays within the education, not within the realm of medicine.

How to set up a kid’s room in Montessori Educational System
A room that is suitable for the Montessori Educational System should take its origins from the main principles of this education, which states that the child should be sufficient for himself / herself and should meet its needs on her / his own. In a room that complies with Montessori System, the child should have easy access to the objects and should use such objects independent of his / her parents. Any object that the child may use should be placed at an appropriate height, which can be accessed by the child easily. When making a choice for the bed, a bed, which would allow the child to jump into without asking help from his / her parents, should be selected. The child should be able to make his own bed in the morning when waking up and should be able to pull the cover by him / her when sleeping. The clothes should be hanged at a height that the child can reach and should be placed in drawers, where the child may access to. The books should be placed at eye level and in a way that the child can reach to them easily. Each group of toy should be separated in different box or sections.
